I am an all around farm girl. I love the country and everything that it entails. I am a 4th generation farmer and proud of it. I have been in 4-H my whole life and hope to always stay involved, though I am now too old to participate in the county fair. *sob* I have currently moved away from country life however to pursue a college education in St. Pete, FL. I'm a double major in Anthropolgy and East Asian Studies with minors in Japanese and Creative Writing. I also work part-time at the Foreign Languages department, mostly answering the phone and making photocopies, and I'm the Entertainment Editor for the school newspaper.
Whenever school and work get to be too much I turn to my one true love: slash fanfiction. I have never been able to stick to a particular fandom, but instead tend to flit from one to another however the mood strikes me. But if I had to choose I would say that my top favorites were Drarry, j2, and mcshep although I've recently become obsessed with Glee. I have been reading slash for about 3 years now and hope to start writing some of my own now, hence this journal. While I will include some details about my day-to-day life, the majority of this journal will be the slash that I will hopefully write. I understand that this is not everybody's cup of tea, and some may feel compelled to flame me for it. However, I feel I should warn you that I'm an army brat, raised to have a very thick skin that I doubt even the strongest flames could penetrate, so I suggest you not waste your time. For everyone else, I'm a pretty friendly person, and if you friend me I'll probably friend you back.
A note of blanket permission: I'm a huge believer in the idea that people can be inspired to do amazing things by other people's work. Personally, all my stories are started by a thought or image or sentence that sparks an idea. And if any of my work should inspire you to do something, whether it be art or podfic or vid or even a timestamp or remix of one of my stories I would be both amazingly flattered and humbled. And that is why I have placed an-all-access-blanket-permission on all my pieces. It isn't necessary, but I would love for you to provide me with a link to the finished work so I could squee shamelessly over it.
ETA 10/19/12: Well, it's been a couple years since my first profile post, so I thought it was time for an update. I graduated from college this past May with my anthro major, though I ended up switching the creative writing minor into a journalism one. I had an epic summer at home with my family and then in August I made the big move to Takamatsu, Japan and to my first real grown up job. Yep, that's right, I'm currently working as an English teacher at a Japanese high school and I'm loving every day. I've also expanded my internet profile in recent months, so here's all the places you can find me:
